Environment & Sustainability

We take our obligations to the environment seriously and strive to act with the minium impact on the environment as possible.  Sustainability is central to our mission and busines strategy.

Our Linkedin campaign #justonething aims to promote making regular, small changes over time that benefit the environment and encourage people to act in a more sustainable way by sharing good practice and ideas.

We conduct an annual Environmental Audit to make sure we are constantly improving and reducing our impact in the envirnoment

 

Social Value

Supporting our local community and our manufacturing sector is a key principle we work towards and we undertake regular activity to support this principle.

  • Our Directors are STEM Ambassadors and regularly support local schools and colleges with promotion of STEM careers
  • We regularly contribute to LLEP (Leicester & Leicestershire Local Enterprise Partnership) activities which bring together business, local authorities and politicians to drive forward regeneration and growth in our local community
  • A key contributor to our LSIP (Local Skills Improvement Plan) providing the voice for manufacturing in shaping educational and training policy in the region
  • We are active participants in Peer Networks which support manufacturing businesses across our region – the EMMN (East Midlands Manufacturers Network) plus a more informal network of Leicestershire Manufacturers
  • We also support the Made Smarter initiative in the East Midlands through contributing a manufacturer’s perspective on how the programme is implemented in the East Midlands region.  We were also key contributors to the bid team which secured funding for our region
  • We are members of the MAA (Midlands Aerospace Alliance) Make UK Defence and affliate members of Make UK often supporting activities through panel discussions and presentations at events

Governance

We operate under a robust QMS (Quality Management System) and hold AS9100 Rev D and ISO 9001:2015

We also hold a NATO Cage Code and we are pre-qualified to trade with major primes through JOSCAR

We complete risk assessments for every production order and have a robust risk mitigation process which includes a Disaster Recovery Plan
